SEOUL (Yonhap) – Korean judo standouts Ahn Bae-wool (Namyangju City Hall) and Kim Won-jin (Yangpyeong County Hall) won bronze medals at the 2023 International Judo Federation (IJF) Masters to boost their prospects for the Paris Olympics.
Anbaul defeated Bartogtogch Erkembayar (Mongolia) by thigh-hold in the bronze medal match of the men’s 66-kilogram category on Thursday (Nov. 4) in Budapest, Hungary.
After four minutes of regulation time, the bout went to golden score (OT), with Anbaul winning the bout just 2:25 into the extra period.
The Tokyo 2020 Olympic bronze medalist won bronze at the World Championships last October and silver at the Portuguese Grand Prix in January.

Athletes must be ranked in the top 36 in the world to qualify for the event, and Olympic ranking points are awarded on the same basis as the World Championships.
