‘Free agent signing’ Simeon-Seager in big way.
Simeon-Gerber’s stellar performance puts Arizona up 3-1 with an 11-7 win

Major League Baseball (MLB) entered a work stoppage beginning at midnight ET on December 2, 2021. The lockout halted player movement, including free agent signings. With less than 24 hours to go before the lockout, Texas announced the signings of Marcus Semien, 33, and Corey Seager, 29, to free agent contracts. After losing 102 games (60 wins) that year, the Rangers felt they needed them.
Seamian and Seager proved why Texas wanted them so badly in Game 4 of the World Series (best-of-seven) against Arizona on April 1. With his team up 1-0 in the top of the second inning, Simeon hit a two-run triple with runners on first and second to make it 3-0. Seeger followed with a two-run homer over the left-center field fence, bringing home Simeon, who was on third base. Simeon followed with a three-run homer in the top of the third, putting runners on second and third to give his team a 10-0 lead.
Texas would eventually hold off a late Arizona rally to win 11-7 and take a 3-1 series lead. Texas now needs to win one of the remaining three games to clinch its first championship in 62 years, since its inception as the Washington Senators in 1961. With the win, Texas also extended its winning streak to 10 straight road games, the longest in MLB postseason history. Jonah Heim (28) also hit a solo shot in the top of the eighth inning, and Texas set a new postseason record for most consecutive games with a home run (15).
Game 5 of the World Series, which could be the final MLB game of the year, is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Feb. 2, also at Chase Field in Anbang, Arizona. Texas will start Nathan Eovaldi (33) and Arizona will start Zach Gallon (28). 스포츠토토맨
